Anatomy of a losing session
I had a losing session today playing PLO $10 at BetOnline. I think I played okay. Let's look the biggest losses.
One hand I got it in mostly pre with AJ93 ds vs JT55 single suited. Actually villain somehow is a 51% favourite, but my hand is a lot better than his imo. Or maybe not.
Whether we are going up against a loose range
My hand has substantially more equity. And vs a 100% range, I am a 55/44 favourite.

We also end up trapping some dead money from HJ especially but also from CO, a nit. So that's even better. HJ's stats are noteworthy here, because he is more likely to fold to a jam or have a hand I am printing against since he is a whale himself.

Okay, so that hand I think was fine.

This hand I think was also played just fine. We have a clear open, and BB (this was another maniac whale from the same session) was three betting very wide. Even if we anticipate a high three bet rate, I think we have an open here. This is a strong hand, and a hand that does well against a three bet and against a wide three betting range.
On the flop, we are heads up with top pair + fd + gutty. SPR is fairly low. I think we absolutely have to bet and bet large once villain checks, and we can't fold to the c/r either.
Let's explore.
Let's explore.
We are a 47/53% dog to a wide three betting range of 50%. That changes to a 71/28 fav. on the flop, confirming this is a very good flop for us. Here is how that equity is distributed, btw.
